​It all comes down to comfort and efficiency. All things considered, circulating water in pipes is a very efficient way to deliver heat to your home. Radiant heat warms everything in the room, and that feels very different than heated air. Radiant warmth is the most comfortable way for our bodies to feel heat.

Although I love radiant, today's mini-split technology, with all its options, is fantastic. The equipment for these systems is whisper quiet and requires very little energy to operate.

It's not enough to make a thing work well. It must be beautiful to look at. It must stir the appreciation of the observer.
